TEDxYouth@Hewitt 2016: Thanks for joining us!

Thank you to everyone who attended this year’s TEDxYouth@Hewitt. We had such a wonderful experience planning the event. Our speakers demonstrated the theme “Made in the Future” through the question, “How can girls make the future?” Our speakers discussed bullying, autism awareness, being a catalyst for social change, and so much more. We were inspired by the words and actions of all of our speakers. We would like to give a special shout out to our host, Chelsea, and our performance group The Bright Side. The entire Hewitt community was so proud to hear their fellow classmates speak and sing, and we are proud to be at a school where an event like this is possible. The most meaningful part of the day was hearing that we, as young women, have the power to change the world. We also realized that while there may be obstacles that we have to overcome, with hard work and determination we can do anything. We hope that everyone who attended took this “idea worth spreading” to lead their lives with more confidence to make their future the best it can be.

Thank you!
