What is TEDx?

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxYouth@Hewitt, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxYouth@Hewitt event, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.

What is TEDxYouth@Hewitt?

The fourth annual TEDxYouth@Hewitt will be held on Saturday, November 16th, 2013. Part of a global series of events held i nhonor of Universal Children's Day (November 20), TEDxYouth@Hewitt invites young people from grades 8-12 to gather for a day of inspiring talks and conversation.

Stay tuned for details on this year's conference theme! An anchor event for TEDxYouth, the Hewitt conference will stream live to encourage the widest possible audience. Students will have the opportunity to network with one antoher during intervals that will encourage idea sharing through conversation, blogging, tweeting, and play.
